DMC Medicis for needlepoint and embroidery    

An excellent quality non-divisible fine 2-ply 100% virgin wool which is mothproof and colorfast.  Perfect for needlepoint, crewel, cross stitch, general embroidery and creative stitchery.  Its fineness makes is particularly suitable for working fine and delicate areas of tapestry (particularly faces).

I have used this wool for detailing, then used the Paternayan Persian wool for the backgrounds.  The different textures add to the piece.  For 14 count straight stitches in bargello use 3 strands, for regular needlepoint half stitch use 2 strands.

Tapestry / Needlepoint Yarn 100% wool is available 27.3 yard (25 meter) skeins. This is equivalent to the Paternayan 8 yard skein.
